This past October the Columbia Preservation Class of 1978-80 held their 30th anniversary reunion at Moran’s Restaurant in Chelsea, next to the Highline. Despite the freak snowstorm, 25 alumni attended (some with great difficulty) for drinks and dinner. Dozens of class photos were shown on a looped digital slideshow and a commemorative booklet was also produced, with updates on what classmates had been doing over the years. The reunion committee consisted of Jay Shockley, Gina Santucci, Nancy Zerbe, and M.C. Taylor. The following day a smaller group made the trek to Irvington, NY at the invitation of fellow classmate Joe Lombardi to tour his Octagon House, the only known fully domed octagonal residence in the United States.
