PA is now accepting applications for 2019 Conference Assistance Grants. These grants, awarded to students currently enrolled in Columbia University’s Historic Preservation program, may be used to fund travel, registration fees, accommodations, or other expenses related to attending or participating in a professional preservation-related conference over the course of the 2019-2020 academic year. Typical grant amounts will range from $250 – $500.To apply: Email the following information to firstname.lastname@example.org by Thursday, October 31, 2019. Late applications will not be reviewed.
- Contact Information: Student name and contact information. Please also indicate year of graduation.
- Proposal: Conference information and anticipated participation (attendee, speaker, etc). Preference will be given to those applicants who clearly demonstrate the benefit of conference attendance to their work and/or studies so please be sure to describe the relevance of the conference to current projects, thesis research, interests, etc.
- Budget: Please indicate amount requested and how funds are to be used. If travel is required include destination, method of travel, and associated costs.
Students will be notified by early November 2019. Students should also note that a second round of Conference Assistance Grants will be available during the Spring 2020 semester for students wishing to attend spring or summer conferences. Please email email@example.com if you have any questions.
